MAYOR RICHARD CREARY
"The St. Mary Parish Council has a new Mayor and Chairman of Council. He is Richard Creary Councillor of the Richmond Division. Mayor Creary was sworn in on Thursday September 20, 2007 at the SAnglican Church Hall in Port Maria at a Special Council Meeting. He is Deputized by Cllr Barton Oliver of the Hampstead Division.
Former Mayor Robert Montague tendered his resignation after being succesfully elected has Member of Parliament for Western St. Mary in the Septmeber 3, 2007 General Elections held in Jamaica. Mr. Montague was also appointed by Prime Minister Bruce Golding as a Minister of State in the Office of the Prime Minister with responsibity for Local Government."
