The planning department is responsible within the parish occurs with an efficient, orderly and sustainable manner.
Mission Statement
To provide excellent customer service and to facilitate the parish and the community in preparing and implementing development plans and policies to encourage planning principles that promoter rational, social, economical and environmentally efficient use of land, now and for generations to come.
Functions
Coordinators with internal and external agencies to effect the timely approval of building, planning and subdivision applications.
Monitors developments to ensure that they comply with building, planning and environmental regulations
Facilitate the preparation and implementation of development plans.

Depending on nature of the development an application may be referred to one or more of the following for comments and recommendations:

In accordance with the with the Parochial Boards Building (Saint Mary) By-Laws 1949 and the Town and Country Planning Act 1957 you are required to:

Pay the necessary fees and
Await approval before commencing any works or change, as submission of plans does not guarantee approval as number of factors are taken into consideration in assessing your application.
